Technology Reflection
Over the course of this semester, my views on technology within education have expanded significantly. Before, when I thought of technology in class, I would think of using a PowerPoint presentation or incorporating a YouTube video. Now, I realize technology has so much more potential in the class room. Some of my favorite tools as a pre-service teacher included: The universal design for learning lab and the many resources it had to offer. I also enjoyed the many educational apps, which turn learning boring content to fun quizzes and games. Using technology to support student learning benefits many different types of learners. For example, English language learners, auditory learner, visual learners, and hands on learners can all benefit from technology. In the future, I plan on integrating technology in my class by taking advantage of the many educational apps, creating QR codes for my students, and assigning projects which require the students to use technology.
